What it means

System fault: picking up circuit for protection on the outdoor unit is abnormal.

Likely causes

  1. Failure of indoor unit PCB
  2. Incorrect wiring
  3. Connection to PCB in indoor unit

Where to start

  1. Check that water check valve (ATW-WCV-01 accessory) with shut-off valve is connected to the water filling point
  2. Make sure all valves are open (water inlet/outlet shut-off valves and other space heating installation component valves)
  3. Ensure air purgers of indoor unit and installation are open (turn indoor unit air purger twice at least)

Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
