Viessmann Vitodens 100-W fault 374
Burner restarts, stabilisation conditions for pre-calibration not met
Gas boilerWhat it means
Burner restarts because the stabilisation conditions required for preparation for calibration of ionisation current (pre-calibration) are not met.
Likely causes
- Faulty ionisation electrode or connecting cable
- Loose plug-in connections
- Flue gas recirculation
- Condensate backup in system
- Contamination of gas solenoid valve inlet and inlet strainer
- Foreign bodies in combustion air causing electrode deposits
Where to start
- Check ionisation electrode and connecting cable.
- Check plug-in connections for loose contacts.
- Check flue system; remove flue gas recirculation if necessary.

Safety: Isolate gas and power before you open the case. If you have been into the gas side, do a tightness test, and a combustion and flue check before you hand back. Gas Safe (UK) or RGI (Ireland) work only.
