Baxi Quinta Ace fault E.04.06

Max flue temp

Appliance

What it means

Measured flue temperature above limit

Likely causes

  1. Incorrect use of parallel wall terminal causing pressure zone imbalance
  2. Obstructed or shut-off installation area vents causing insufficient combustion air supply
  3. Air inlet connection of boiler blocked
  4. Flue gas leak from appliance or flue system

Where to start

  1. Confirm air inlet and flue are in the same pressure zone
  2. Verify horizontal flue terminal configuration, not parallel wall terminal
  3. Measure LB from flue gas connection to terminal and compare to maximum length table for boiler type and diameter.

Safety: Isolate gas and power before you open the case. If you have been into the gas side, do a tightness test, and a combustion and flue check before you hand back. Gas Safe (UK) or RGI (Ireland) work only.
