Glow-worm Energy Combi fault P.05
Filling the product
Gas boilerWhat it means
The prioritising diverter valve is moved to the mid-position. The burner and pump are switched off (to fill or drain the product). If the pressure is lower than 0.05 MPa (0.5 bar) and then is above 0.07 MPa (0.7 bar) for longer than 15 seconds, the automatic purging function is activated. The function is activated for 15 minutes.
Likely causes
- Radiators not heating sufficiently at factory setting
- Noises produced in radiators or radiator valves
Where to start
- Activate P.05 to fill or drain product with diverter valve in mid-position
- Monitor system pressure for automatic purge trigger (below 0.05 MPa then above 0.07 MPa for 15+ seconds)
- Flush the heating installation through

Safety: Isolate gas and power before you open the case. If you have been into the gas side, do a tightness test, and a combustion and flue check before you hand back. Gas Safe (UK) or RGI (Ireland) work only.
