What it means

Pump fails to stop because an outlet, tap is open or there is a leak in the system.

Likely causes

  1. Outlet open
  2. Tap open
  3. Leak in the system
  4. An outlet open, tap or leak etc.
  5. Debris or foreign bodies entering the pipeline
  6. Reduced water feed supply through blocked strainer filters

Where to start

  1. Check that outlets are closed and no leaks are present
  2. If installation has isolation valves on outlet of pump, close and see if pump stops - if unit stops there is likely an issue with the system leaking
  3. Pump powered without water feed supply shuts down after 60 seconds
