LG Therma V fault 15
Overheating of water pipe
Heat pumpWhat it means
Error (serious fail - system cannot be used before repair). The temperature of the water pipe has exceeded a certain temperature.
Likely causes
- The temperature of the water pipe has exceeded a certain temperature
- Water leaking inside the product and accessories
- Water leaking from water pipes and accessories (connections, heat storage tanks, etc.)
- Valve in the water pipe is locked/closed
- Blockage by foreign substances in the water pipes such as struts
Where to start
- Check if water leaks inside the product and accessories
- Check if water is leaked from the water pipes and accessories (connections, heat storage tanks, etc.)
- If leakage occurs, reconnect leaking parts or replace damaged parts and reinforce

Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
From the LG manual for the Therma V. Check the model on the data plate before you order parts.
