Midea Heat pump fault H8

H-SEN high pressure sensor error

Heat pump

What it means

High pressure sensor (H-SEN) error, connected to the Main Control PCB at port CN3.

Likely causes

  1. High pressure sensor fault
  2. Refrigerant leak from container or system

Where to start

  1. Check outdoor unit refrigerant system main PCB for code d0 display
  2. Check cabling for wear, corrosion, excessive pressure, vibration, sharp edges or adverse environmental effects, including ageing and vibration from compressors or fans

  • The readings and component tests from the manual
  • How to put it right, step by step
  • The manual page for this fault (page 114), right under the answer

Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
