Vaillant Gas boiler fault F.27
Safety shutdown: flame simulation
Gas boilerWhat it means
Safety shutdown due to a false flame signal being detected (flame simulation).
Likely causes
- Gas solenoid valve not leaktight
- Moisture on the PCB
- Flame monitor defective
Where to start
- Check that the gas solenoid valve works correctly.
- Check that the PCB works correctly.

Safety: Isolate gas and power before you open the case. If you have been into the gas side, do a tightness test, and a combustion and flue check before you hand back. Gas Safe (UK) or RGI (Ireland) work only.
From the Vaillant manual for the Gas boiler. Check the model on the data plate before you order parts.
