Daikin Altherma fault 7H-01
Water flow problem
Heat pumpWhat it means
System detects flow abnormality during operation.
Likely causes
- Air in the water circuit
- Water flow is too low
- Faulty or dirty magnetic filter/dirt separator
- Faulty water flow sensor
- Faulty water pump
- Faulty refrigerant pressure sensor
- Poor water flow through high pressure side plate heat exchanger
- Incorrect refrigerant charge
- Wrong setting of [F-0D] pump operation
- Dirty water blocking the water filter
- NOT enough air purged from the system
- Air was purged from the water circuit after filling
- Water pump software control behaviour based on setting [F-0D]
Where to start
- Check the water flow
- Clean the magnetic filter/dirt separator
- Perform an electrical check of the water flow sensor

Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
From the Daikin manual for the Altherma. Check the model on the data plate before you order parts.
