Ideal Logic System IE fault FD
No water flow
Gas boilerWhat it means
Boiler has detected no water flow through the system.
Likely causes
- Pump not rotating
- Faulty electrical connection to pump
- Loose connection to water flow sensor
- Faulty water flow sensor
- No water flow through boiler
Where to start
- Check if boiler and CH system are filled with water and all isolation and radiator valves open. If NO, fill and vent the system and open all isolation valves.
- If YES, turn power off and on - is the pump rotating? If NO, check pump and check electrical connection to pump.
- If YES, are connections to water flow sensor secure? If NO, re-fit connector.

Safety: Isolate gas and power before you open the case. If you have been into the gas side, do a tightness test, and a combustion and flue check before you hand back. Gas Safe (UK) or RGI (Ireland) work only.
