Midea R32 M thermal Arctic Mono fault E0
Water flow failure (repeated E8 occurrence)
Heat pumpWhat it means
E0 indicates E8 has displayed 3 times, indicating repeated water flow failure. When an E0 error occurs, a manual system restart is required before the system can resume operation. M thermal Mono stops running. Error code is displayed on hydronic system main control board for refrigerant system and user interface.
Likely causes
- Wire circuit short connected or open, water flow rate too low, water flow switch damaged, water circuit abnormal or not emptied
- Pump failure, blocked water lines, air in system, low water level, closed isolation valves
- Water flow rate is too low
- Water flow switch damaged
- Insufficient refrigerant caused by refrigerant leakage
- Low pressure side blocked by crushed or bent pipe, blocked EXV, or dirty filter
- Poor air side heat exchanger heat exchange in heating or DHW mode
- Insufficient water flow rate in cooling mode
Where to start
- Check water flow switch connection on hydronic system main PCB port CN8. Check water flow after water pump is switched on. Verify water flow switch plug is inserted firmly. Verify arrow direction matches water flow direction. Measure water flow switch with multimeter in ohm range when pump is on and flow is normal.
- Check pump operation, verify water circulation, inspect for blockages, bleed air from system
- Whether the pump wires are connected and whether the water pump indicator lights up after the water pump icon is lit on the wired controller

Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
