Midea R32 M thermal Arctic Mono fault EL
Communication fault between hydraulic module and MH-kit
Heat pumpWhat it means
Communication fault between hydraulic module and MH-kit. Displayed on User Interface.
Likely causes
- Loose communication wiring, damaged communication cable, module malfunction, shielding issue
- Communication cable connection not following T1→X/HA, T2→Y/HB, E→E or was disconnected. Communication cables short circuited or damaged. Strong electric and magnetic interference around communication cables. When MH-kit is not connected to heat pump, S2-1 of hydraulic module PCB is set as ON.
- Communication fault between hydraulic module and MH-kit
- Inverter module damaged
Where to start
- Step 1: Check if communication cable connection between Hydraulic module PCB and MH-kit was not follow T1→X/HA, T2→Y/HB, E→E or was disconnected. If yes, reconnect cables correctly. Step 2: Check if communication cables were short circuited or damaged. If yes, replace communication cables. Step 3: Check for strong electric and magnetic interference around communication cables. If yes, keep cable away from interference areas. Step 4: Check if S2-1 of hydraulic module PCB is set as ON when MH-kit is not connected. If yes, reset S2-1 as OFF. Step 5: If all checks pass, request after-sales service.
- Check S2-1 switch setting on hydraulic module PCB when MH-kit is not connected.
- Inspect communication wiring connections, verify cable integrity, check for EMI interference, test module communication

Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
