LG Therma V fault CH231
Reference table correlating water pressure (bar) to expected sensor output voltage (V)...
Heat pumpWhat it means
Reference table correlating water pressure (bar) to expected sensor output voltage (V) at the CN_H20_Press connector (Orange/3), used to verify sensor operation during CH231 diagnosis.
Likely causes
- Sensor mismatch on the main PCB of Indoor unit
- The main PCB of Indoor unit defect
- Sensor failure (Reason of major defect)
Where to start
- Check if the sensor is correctly connected to the main PCB (indoor). If No, re-attach the sensor to the main PCB.
- If sensor is connected, check if the sensor connector pin is missing or the sensor wire is damaged. If Yes (pin missing/wire damaged), replace the sensor.
- If connector/wire is OK, check if the voltage of the sensor connector is normal. If No, replace the sensor.

Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
From the LG manual for the Therma V. Check the model on the data plate before you order parts.
