Midea R32 M thermal Arctic Mono fault L5
Zero speed protection
Heat pumpWhat it means
Zero speed protection detected by refrigerant system main PCB. Displayed as P6/H4 on user interface.
Likely causes
- Wire not connected properly
- Inverter module PCB malfunction
- Compressor failure
- Compressor not reaching minimum speed
- Compressor not rotating
- Motor stall
- Discharge temperature exceeding 105°C indicating high compressor load or high ambient/system conditions
- Crushed or bent pipe
- Blocked EXV
- Dirty filter
- Compressor current exceeding Currentmax threshold
Where to start
- Check if wire is connected properly
- Check if inverter module PCB has malfunctioned
- Check LED301 flashing pattern on inverter module. L5 error shows 13 flashes and stops for 1 second, then repeats with LED302 always on red

Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
