Panasonic Aquarea T-CAP R32 fault F25
Four way valve abnormality
Heat pumpWhat it means
During heating operation, when the indoor pipe temperature of thermostat ON indoor unit is less than 0°C, or during cooling operation, when the indoor pipe temperature of thermostat ON indoor unit is greater than 45°C.
Likely causes
- Faulty connector connection
- Faulty outdoor unit PCB (noise filter/main)
- Indoor communication error
Where to start
- If sensor conforms, check if F25 occurred during heating operation
- If coil not disconnected, check if the harness is out of the CN-HOT connector - if Yes, reconnect the harness
- Disconnect the harness from the CN-HOT connector; check resistance between harness - should be about 1.5 kohm; if No, replace the four way valve coil

Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
