Panasonic Aquarea T-CAP R32 fault H65

Deice circulation error

Heat pump

What it means

During startup and operation of deice (mode 2), the water flow (> 5 l/min) detected by the water flow switch is used to determine deice circulation error.

Likely causes

  1. Water pump fault
  2. Water flow in air-to-water heatpump indoor unit circuitry
  3. Faulty indoor unit water flow switch
  4. Faulty indoor unit water pump
  5. Low water outlet/inlet temperature or low outdoor air temperature during deice risks ice formation on heat exchanger plates
  6. Flow switch fault or no flow detected
  7. Vacuum pump oil backflow into charge hoses without proper prevention
  8. Removing refrigerant pipes while compressor is running and valve is open

Where to start

  1. Check water pump operation during deice cycle
  2. During deice (mode 2), check if indoor unit water pump operates. If Yes, loop back to start (monitor continues).
  3. If No, check if external water pump is used and is directly installed to the air-to-water heatpump indoor unit circuit (without buffer tank).

Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
