Panasonic Aquarea T-CAP R32 fault H72
Tank temperature sensor abnormality
Heat pumpWhat it means
When tank connection is set to ON, the temperatures detected by the tank temperature sensor are used to determine sensor error. Abnormality is judged when the condition continues for 5 seconds.
Likely causes
- Sensor wiring fault
- Faulty connector connection
- Faulty indoor unit PCB (main)
- Indoor communication error
Where to start
- If connections are normal, plug out connector from the indoor unit PCB (main) and measure the resistance of the tank temperature sensor
- Confirm Force heater request ON by user OR auto turn ON by remote controller during error
- Check latest mode selection sent by remote controller (heat/cool/tank)

Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
