Ideal Logic Air fault 134

Re-occurring heat pump fault

Heat pump

What it means

Indicates a heat pump fault that has repeatedly occurred.

Likely causes

  1. Recurring underlying heat pump fault not resolved
  2. Frost accumulation on evaporator due to outdoor humidity/temperature conditions
  3. Electrical interference from inadequate cable separation
  4. Water ingress from improperly routed cables or loose cable glands
  5. Dwelling room temperature dropped to ≤8°C
  6. Inadequate corrosion inhibitor dosing leading to gradual system performance deterioration
  7. Missing or undersized system filter allowing debris into primary circuit
  8. Dwelling ambient temperature at or below 8°C
  9. Ambient air temperature at or below 1°C
  10. Refrigerant leak from circuit

Where to start

  1. Read Primary flow temp, Hot water temp, Outside temp, Primary water flow, Compressor %, CH1 Pump, CH2 Pump, Diverter valve, Immersion heater status directly from home screen to verify system operation
  2. Identify 'Alarm' symbol to indicate a plant error
  3. Identify 'Maintenance/Special operations' symbol for maintenance message or special operation feedback

Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
